Tottenham’s Ange Postecoglou has been named Manager of the Month for October, becoming the first boss in history to win the award in the first three months of a Premier League season.
The popular Australian has taken English football by storm since taking charge this summer and has seen his side go unbeaten in their first ten matches.
Spurs’ progress was halted somewhat on Monday by a chaotic 4-1 defeat to Chelsea after they were reduced to nine men, but it was still a fine start to the season.
Last month, Postecoglou oversaw three wins – against Luton Town, Fulham and Crystal Palace – to ensure he has now won the gong three months in a row following his triumphs in August and September.
By the end of October they had won eight and drawn two of their ten top games.

However, on this occasion, Mohamed Salah was selected for the fifth time in his career after scoring five goals in three top-flight games for Liverpool in October.
Postecoglou joins an exclusive club of only three other managers who have won three or more monthly trophies on the trot, with Pep Guardiola – the only boss to win four in a row – Antonio Conte and Jurgen Klopp all achieving the same feat.
The 1-0 win over Luton last month came after Yves Bissouma was sent off in the first half for Spurs, as Tottenham then swept aside Fulham with ease in a 2-0 win.

Meanwhile, the 2-1 win over Crystal Palace came after a hard-fought match as Spurs found a way to win despite a sub-par performance.
They will be back in action on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Wolves, although Postecoglou will be without a number of key players due to injuries and suspension.
This includes Micky van de Ven, James Maddison, Destiny Udogie and Cristian Romero, with the quartet crucial to Spurs’ good start.
