Philadelphia 76ers guard Kelly Oubre Jr. was struck by a motor vehicle in the Center City neighborhood.
According to ESPNOubre was a pedestrian when he was struck and is now being treated at a local hospital.
Sixers spokespeople say he is in stable condition.
Further reporting from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski indicates that 76ers president Daryl Morey and other team representatives are at the hospital with Oubre.
That report also says Oubre is expected to miss significant time due to his injuries, but that doesn’t mean the end of the season.

Wojnarowski also reports that local authorities in Philadelphia are currently investigating the incident.
Oubre was reportedly walking near his home when he was struck by a vehicle, a Sixers spokesperson said.
So far this season, Oubre is averaging 16.3 points per game and shooting 50 percent from the field this season.
Oubre is also averaging 29 minutes per game for the Sixers – a number that increased after P.J. Tucker was traded to the Clippers in the James Harden deal.
