He’s rarely overshadowed in the pop world, but Gary Barlow was overshadowed by his son Daniel on Tuesday during a family holiday in Venice.
The 6ft tall singer, 58, looked tiny compared to 6ft tall Daniel, 22, as they enjoyed a getaway in the Italian city, where they are on holiday as a family with Gary’s wife Dawn and Daniel’s female friend.
Take That star Gary wore a cream T-shirt and white linen trousers, while Daniel wore a colorful T-shirt with shorts.
Dawn, 53, was absent from the family’s walk around the island city, perhaps due to wrist pain, but joined the trio for lunch at one point.
Gary and Dawn have been married since 2000 and, in addition to Daniel, are also parents to daughters Emily, 21, and Daisy, 14.
Wow: Gary Barlow, 52, was overshadowed by his son Daniel, 22, while on holiday with the family in Venice on Tuesday

Daniel’s girlfriend looked beautiful in a dark pink, sleeveless top with matching sneakers and a long green skirt with a white pattern.
She and Daniel put their arms around each other, and the back of Daniel’s shirt read “Casablanca Paris.”
The family was shopping and Daniel had two bags in one hand, one Gucci. Gary soon took them and held them safely between his legs so he could take the photo of Daniel and his girlfriend.
Gary couldn’t take enough selfies and tied his son to more than one couple, but he didn’t seem to mind.
He then became a master photographer, making sure Daniel and his girlfriend looked their best in countless photos.
When he was sure he had the best angles, Gary called them back with a big smile on his face.

And off we went: the three then drove through the busy streets, with Daniel and his partner chatting and Gary following slightly behind.
Finally: Gary soon caught up and the three struck up a conversation, happily taking in the sights together
Gary was in Venice last month, but alone with his wife Dawn.
The two must have had such a great time that they decided their children should come along.
Gary had taken Dawn for a two-day getaway after breaking her left wrist, just a year after the pain of breaking her right wrist.
The Barlows love Italian holidays, with the whole family flying to Tremezzo on Lake Como for Dawn’s 50th birthday after lockdown was eased in 2020.
