Steve Smith has slashed the asking price of his luxury Sydney beach house by $500,000 after he and wife Dani Willis struggled to sell it for $7 million.
The 34-year-old cricket legend, who bought the bungalow for $3.5 million in 2019, has also canceled the planned auction date twice.
The couple’s initial price expectations have been lowered to a target price of $6.5 million based on a private contract The Sunday Telegraph.
Despite no buyer having been found for the Gordan Place property, the listing is still in the hands of Tanya Hatton and Frank Colacicco of Bentley Estate Agents.
It looks like Steve is trying to score big again after selling his Vaucluse mansion for $12.38 million last year, which was double what he initially paid in 2020.

The sportsman put his current home in the eastern suburbs on the market last month, while the four-bedroom, three-bathroom Bronte property was initially put up for auction last Saturday.
Steve expected to rake in $7 million after undergoing a major renovation when he bought the pad for $3.5 million in 2019.
Located just 9km from the CBD and just blocks from Bronte Beach, the original home was built as a single-storey Californian bungalow.

Steve did a complete renovation and completely remodeled the house, adding a second floor, bathrooms and a fourth bedroom.
The new design transformed the mid-20th century original into a chic, ultra-modern resort-style home.
