Deb’s departure from 2GB’s afternoon slot was first reported on Sunday when it was revealed she was being sacked following a huge drop in her ratings.
The broadcaster was ‘stunned’ by the news it received last week, the channel reported The Sunday Telegraph.
Her salary was rumored to be $600,000 when she started the afternoon radio show in 2020 after being fired from the Today breakfast show.
But despite debuting with a stunning 11.4 percent audience share, she has since fallen to a record-low 6 percent share in the most recent survey.
Candidates have reportedly already lined up for her position at 2GB, with Deb’s understudy Joe Hildebrand and fellow 2GB presenter Mark Levy topping the list.
